The Rose-eyed Queen

All babies are born with blue eyes, eyes the dark colour of the sky before nightfall. All babies that is, apart from one. The child I am going to tell you about was not born with blue eyes, not with eyes at all in fact, but with roses…

The Rose-eyed Queen was a contemporary fairytale written and directed by Lara Costello and developed for  the outdoors. Centered around the the themes of deception, power and repercussions, this live storytelling experience burst with magic, violence, disgusting characters and beautiful creatures. The show combined movement, live music, ‘blade on cutlery’ swordplay and spectacular costumery to create a display that was just as exciting for the eyes as it was for the mind. The show appeared various festivals in Summer 2016 to a range of audiences, little and large.
